Linux Mint VMware Appliance

Linux Mint is a popular and user friendly Linux distribution based on Ubuntu which in turn is based on Debian. The homepage of the Debian appliances gets you started with VMware and its virtual PC in general and with Debian appliances specifically. Here is explained where the configuration of the Linux Mint appliance differs.

Linux in Windows

If the torrent download doesn't work for you, please download the zip file directly.

You only need the zip file above, the free Player from VMware, at least Windows NT or any other newer x86 OS (Windows, Mac or Linux) in which the Player can be installed, enough RAM and about 2 GB free space on your hard disk. Linux Mint in its virtual PC (the VMware Player) resides in a few ordinary files that come with the zip file and can be handled with every file manager.
