SWAP cuts through the space-time revealing the intricate internal structure - Windows Freeware. SWAP Paul Harter 1998 "Henceforth space by itself, and time by itself, are doomed to fade away into mere shadows, and only a kind of union of the two will preserve an independent reality." Herman Minkowski 1903 Einstein's maths teacher first proposed the idea of space-time, a unified four dimensional model in which space and time were not separate elements but were made of the same stuff.

SWAP swaps one spatial dimension with that of time, cutting through the space-time continuum like a knife through a cabbage, revealing the intricate internal structure. This screen saver version of SWAP was written in 2007 and is based on a video/computer installation first shown on Dalston Lane, Hackney in 1998. You have to attach a camera to this computer for it to work. A firewire DV camera is best, some webcams work they may be a little slow. You may freely use, copy and distribute this application as long as you don't charge for it in any way or show it in a public space without my permission, and you must keep this title page. If you have any questions or comments I'd be pleased to hear from you. Paul Harter - paul@glowinthedark.co.uk
